On July 25, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued Apple a registered trademark certificate for “AirPods Pro.” Yesterday afternoon the Hong Kong Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple 12 design patents for AirPods Pro Cases. Some of the design wins are for the cases alone while others illustrate the AirPods Pro in their cases. Nine of the 12 sets of images are CAD while the other 3 sets are photos totaling over 60 images in total. This week Apple was also issued a Registered Trademark Certificate for “Find My” app icon.
Unlike “patent applications” that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.
Apple Wins 12 AirPods Pro Case Design Patents
Below you’ll find a sampling of the design wins Apple was granted in Hong Kong yesterday. The first set of images covers just the case. The second set of images covers the AirPods Pro in their case while the third set presents one of three sets that are in photo form.
Below is the remainder of the AirPods Pro Case design patent collection in list form with a single thumbnail image representing each patent. Apple filed for these patents in a way that breaks down every segment of the design so that every conceivable angle is covered and highlighted to provide Apple with the maximum coverage under the law.
